You may have seen something strange going on at the 2024 Grizzly Classic.
Photographers equipped with state-of-the-art professional cameras were on the floor throughout each and every session. And guess what: their attention was laser-focused on getting the best possible images of YOUR ATHLETE.
One of these photographers was Luke O'Geil, a renowned, international FIG-sanctioned photographer who is celebrated for his ability to capture truly exquisite photographs of elite gymnastics athletes.
The other photographers were students from the Masters of Motion photography clinic hosted by the Grizzly Classic and taught by Luke O'Geil.
Under Luke's tutelage, Masters of Motion students learned floor safety and etiquette, gymnastics photography methods, and post-processing techniques.
All of these photographers spent so much time taking photos at the Grizzly Classic, they basically didn't see sunlight outdoors for three whole days. Seriously.
In total, the team took approximately 89,000 images and have been sorting, editing, and organizing them, day and night, for the last two weeks.
Images are available to purchase until May 16th, 2024, and we're here to help you get ready to snag your athlete's pics.

We know we said the launch would happen on April 7th, but, turns out that 89,000 photos take a crazy amount of time to sort, Edit, and Organize.
Our photographers have literally been working day and night, editing as fast as they can. We hope you'll give us some compassion and forgive the extra wait.
To be notified the moment photos are live, please join the grizzly classic email list.
If You wish to use any of these images for commercial endeavors such as, but not limited to, product or service endorsements, sponsored content, marketing or any other activity that includes an exchange of value, then you will need to purchase commercial use rights for your full gallery.
Commercial use Digital download packages for Individual athlete galleries will be available to purchase for a flat rate of $250.
Clubs that wish to use grizzly classic images in their marketing will have access to a "best captures" Album. The commercial use digital download package for club albums will be available to purchase for a flat rate of $500.

This could include commercial endeavors such as, but not limited to:
- product or service endorsements;
- sponsored content;
- marketing or promotion of any individual or entity that is seeking financial or any other form of support; or
- Marketing or promotion of products, services, or offers that people will engage with in any market.
When we are ready to launch, we will distribute access links and passwords to each organization. Clubs and teams will then share this information with the parents or guardians of each athlete who attended the 2024 Grizzly Classic.
In order to view your athlete's photos and purchase digital downloads or prints, you will need to provide your email address.
Once inside your team's gallery, you will be able to navigate to your athlete's album. Please note that we have not matched athlete's faces to their names. So, instead of looking for your athlete's name, you will need to identify your athlete's album visually, by looking for their face.
We will ensure that the featured image for each athlete's album clearly shows their face.
Once you're ready to purchase, simply click "Store" or "Buy Photo" if you're in the lightroom view.
To purchase digital downloads of your athlete's images, navigate to "Packages" within the store. here you will be able to select either a personal or commercial use digital download package.
To checkout, simply follow the cues.
If you aren't satisfied with the quality of your photos, you may request that your athlete's photos be re-edited. issues that might be able to be resolved with a re-edit include grainy-ness, overexposure, inaccurate colour, and image clarity, among others.
To submit a re-edit request, send an email to info@thegrizzlyclassic.com with "Attn: Lauren Killam, Re-Edit Request" in the subject line.
As a note, all of the images displayed above were taken by masters of motion student photographers and we're super proud of how a lot of these images have turned out!
As fellow gymnastics parents, the masters of motion students care deeply about providing you with an image that you and your athlete will cherish for decades to come. We hope you like the images we created and are standing by to try again, if you're not satisfied.
We dreamed of having enough photographers to be able to assign one photographer to each rotation group for each session, however, only four people enrolled for the 2024 masters of motion program.
We strongly considered hiring additional photographers, but the 2024 budget wouldn't allow for it.
If your gallery has fewer than 10 images, please contact us and we might be able to offer you a discount. to request a discount, send an email to info@thegrizzlyclassic.com with "Attn: Lauren Killam, Discount Request" in the subject line.
Please note that all discount requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Since you're here, we just want to say that masters of Motion will run again next year and we would be deeply grateful if you would consider joining The program. gymnastics community members get 50% off and we can help you coordinate rental equipment if you don't have a camera of your own.
In fact, one of our photographers used a professional camera worth over $10,000 cad that she rented for free.
Oh, and did we mention that masters of motion students keep 60% of the profits from their sales?

There may be a chance that one of our photographers captured an image or two of your athlete and they just didn't have enough photos for a full gallery.

We'd also like to invite you to join the masters of motion program next year, so that we'll have better photography coverage at the 2025 grizzly classic and you'll learn a valuable new skill.
