The Grizzly Classic is hosted by two of Calgary's most highly regarded gymnastics institutions: Calgary Gymnastics Centre and Gymtastics. Many of us are born-and-raised Calgarians and we can't wait for you to explore our hometown.

From epic adventure attractions, magnificent museums, and delicious restaurants, the city has so much to offer teams. In fact, we can pretty much guarantee that you'll find something for every single age group you've got in tow.

DRUMHELLER

DRUMHELLER IS KNOWN AROUND THE WORLD FOR THE ICONIC ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM, FEATURING WORLD-FAMOUS FOSSIL COLLECTIONS.

DINOSAURS. When we think of Drumheller, this is the one word that comes to mind, with "hoodoos" being a very close second.

Yep, it's true, the world's most epic dinosaur museum is a short 1.5 hour drive away from Calgary. Whether you want to go down for a quick day-trip or plan a more involved educational excursion, Drumheller is guaranteed to ignite your athletes' imaginations.

At the museum, you can take part in digs, guided hikes, fossil casting, and even camp-ins where you stay at the museum OVERNIGHT. Yep, like we said, this is EPIC and not an experience to be missed. If you need help coordinating, please reach out! We can't wait to help you plan an unforgettable trip for your team.

EXPLORE THE GUIDE

CANMORE

Canmore is home to the bow valley's iconic three sisters mountain range and the bow valley's famous mount rundle.

Canmore is recognized as Alberta's epicenter for cross-country skiing, climbing, and mountain biking. Situated right at the start of Alberta's Bow Valley, Canmore boasts a striking array of craggy summits, picturesque valleys, and gurgling glacier-fed creeks.

The town of Canmore is home to wonderful boutique shops and restaurants, tons of hotels, walking trails, and photo-worthy bridges. We recommend planning a hike nearby then exploring the town's many amenities.

Want a more involved adventure? Book a day with one of Canmore's internationally recognized mountain guide companies to really give your team a thrill. Need more advice? Get in touch with our resident mountain enthusiast, Lauren.

BANFF

NESTLED INTO THE WEST END OF MOUNT RUNDLE, BANFF IS CANADA'S BEST KNOWN MOUNTAIN TOWN.

Banff is Canada's most widely recognized resort town and features chateau-style hotels, boutique restaurants, and adventures fit for everyone.

The skyline is dominated by Mount Rundle and Cascade Mountain, two iconic peaks you just have to see for yourself. Banff National Park is also home to abundant wildlife, including elk, moose, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, and both grizzly and black bears.

Banff is an exceptionally busy area, as it remains a tourist hotspot that only gets more and more popular over time. Below, we've included our favourite places, so you can make the most of your trip. Have any questions? Contact our resident mountain enthusiast, Lauren, to help make sure you tick off all those iconic boxes.

EXPLORE THE GUIDE

LAKE LOUISE

recent changes to parking and access has made the lake louise area difficult to get into. contact lauren to learn more.

Lake Louise is one of Canada's most cherished places. Dominated by the glacier-fed blue lake with Mount Victoria soaring overhead, Lake Louise is a sight to behold. Just a few kilometers away, Moraine Lake is surrounded by Mount Temple and the Valley of the Ten Peaks. These sub-alpine glacier-fed lakes are wonders of the world.

Accessing these iconic landmarks requires intense planning and all the right bookings. While we can't make any guarantees, we can certainly help you navigate the new systems to get your team the best chance of seeing Lake Louise and the surrounding area.

If you'd like to see Lake Louise while you're in Alberta for the Grizzly Classic, please reach out to our mountain hospitality expert, Lauren, and we'll do our best to help you.
